Description

Set directly beside the Rochebrune slopes, Chalet Aspen offers one of those rare Megève settings where skiing begins at the door and the village remains within walking distance. Recently built and extending across 351m², this luxury ski chalet in Megève sleeps 8 adults and 4 children across four double bedrooms and a children’s dormitory. Mountain views, contemporary interiors and true ski-in/ski-out access create an easy base for families who want both privacy and close proximity to Megève.

The main floor has a distinctly modern mountain character, centred around a striking natural stone fireplace. Wide picture windows draw the surrounding peaks into the room, while exposed timber and tactile natural materials add warmth to the contemporary furnishings. Living, dining and kitchen areas flow naturally into one another, making the space equally suited to leisurely breakfasts, informal afternoons and long dinners together. The large solid-wood dining table anchors the adjoining dining area, with the fully equipped open kitchen close at hand.

Sleeping arrangements have been designed with family stays in mind. The upper floor is reserved for the master suite, where a generous walk-in dressing room, en-suite bathroom and private terrace accompany far-reaching mountain views. On the garden level, three additional double bedrooms each have their own en-suite bathroom and plenty of natural light. A separate dormitory sleeps four children and also benefits from an en-suite bathroom, giving younger guests their own space while keeping the accommodation practical for families travelling together. This makes Aspen a particularly appealing family ski chalet for larger households or two families sharing a stay.

Away from skiing, Aspen reveals a more playful side. Megève gives access to a vast skiing area of slopes suitable for all levels of skiers. Most of the runs are best for intermediates and beginners, but there are still 23% advanced and expert skiing pistes and excellent off-piste opportunities. A modern system of 84 lifts has been established in the resort. Additional skiing opportunities are available in the neighbor resorts of Combloux and Saint-Gervais-les-Bains. 75km of picturesque trails are at the disposition of cross-country skiers. The snow season here continues from mid-December to Mid-April with sufficient amount of snow during that time.
