Description

Impala is a new ski in/ski out luxury ski chalet in the Évasion Mont Blanc winter sports domain. Situated in the Megève neighborhood of Rochebrunne, the green Grand Champs slope is just 50 metres from the chalet‘s front door. The closest ski lift, Rochebrunne, is right at the bottom of the slope. Guests can also reach atmospheric Megève, one of the most extravagant ski resorts in the French Alps with boutiques and a number of fine dining venues, among them three Michelin-star restaurants, quickly, as the town’s cobbled centre is only three minutes by car or a 10-minutes scenic walk.

Impala chalet, which extends over three floors, has a traditional outside construction, typical for this area, with its use of stone and wood, and a surprisingly contemporary design inside. With five en-suites bedrooms and a large dormitory for little ones, holiday chalet Impala can host up to 16 people. The main hub is the open-plan living room on the ground floor with cathedral high ceilings giving a feel of grandeur and spaciousness. Underlining this are a slightly separated intimate sofa corner in soft natural tones with wooden, rustic side table, leather armchairs scattered around, a large L-shaped couch and a massive wooden staircase leading to a mezzanine. Its centerpiece is the wood-burning fireplace, which reaches up to the exposed wooden beams and divides the generous space. Like the entire ski lodge, with the exception of the kitchen and bathrooms, the room has wooden flooring.

From the living room as well as from the dining room and adjoining kitchen there is access to a very large furnished terrace and to the garden, as several sliding doors lead outside. All necessary appliances are integrated in the modern kitchen, which is very convenient for a self-catering holiday. Eating is done at a large oblong dining table. Evening meals can also be enjoyed at the square table with solid wooden top standing nearby. The table, around which eight beautiful leather chairs are grouped, is also a good place to meet for a game of cards or lively chats over pre-dinner aperitifs prior to moving on to the dining table.

The bedrooms are distributed across all floors within Alpine holiday home Impala, which is 500 square metres in size. The largest, the master suite, lies on the ground floor with private access to the terrace. Two double bedrooms, one with shower room, the other with bathroom and balcony, are on the first floor. Further downstairs, at garden level, there are two more bedrooms, one of which can be used as either a double or twin.  Both have attached shower rooms. Finally, the garden level houses the sixth bedroom, the children's dormitory with three bunk beds and private shower room. Common to most of the bedrooms is the generous use of wood, be it wall panelling or exposed wooden beams.

Chalet Impala also has no lack of facilities for rejuvenation, rest, relaxation and the fitness needed to enjoy skiing to the fullest. The spa comes with hot tub, steam room and small gym. After visiting the wellness area, evenings can be spent in the cinema room, which is located next to the fitness room. To make a stay as pleasant as possible, luxury ski holiday chalet Impala furthermore has a ski room, laundry room and four garage parking spaces.

Infos/Activities

The Megève mountain resort is situated at 1,115m above sea level. The charming Alpine town is part of the Évasion Mont Blanc region with stunning luxury chalets for rent, catered and self-catered. Many have a swimming pool, hot tub, sauna and gym, for the very best luxury ski holidays.

With its traditional rustic atmosphere and authentic medieval architecture, it seems that Megève has always existed up there, just like the fascinating mountain scenery of smooth pastures, mystery-green forests and stunning heights all around. Megève is like a fairytale picture of old times. Narrow streets and old buildings form its enchanting medieval centre; the pedestrian zone with the horse-drawn sleighs and carriages passing only add a magical touch, almost imaginable serenity of a trip into history.

But still, the town offers infinite range of entertainment, so tourists can enjoy after returning from back-in-time. Megève at night is an experience you should not miss. 9 discos and plenty of clubs and bars create the special lively atmosphere of the nocturne town. There is a casino for those who feel "lucky tonight" and a prefect selection of various restaurants for those who prefer nice food and fine wines! In fact, Megève is known as one of the most valuable gastronomic stops of the Alps and a famous French culinary spot. During the day you could enjoy the majestic mountain landscapes from the terrace of a café, or take a traditional lunch in a cosy bistro in the medieval heart of the town.
