Chalet Vanoise is a spacious luxury ski chalet in Val d’Isère, sleeping up to fourteen guests in five bedrooms and four bathrooms. Set in the traditional hamlet of Le Fornet, this catered family chalet combines privacy, generous living spaces and straightforward access to the slopes. Contemporary grey local stone and mountain larch give the chalet a distinctive Alpine character, while sunny terraces and balconies open towards the surrounding mountains and glaciers. Chalet Vanoise is offered for sole occupancy, creating a private mountain home for families and groups.
The main living floor is designed for relaxed time together. A generous open-plan lounge and dining area centres around a wood-burning fireplace, creating a warm gathering place after skiing. Large windows bring in natural light and frame the mountain views, while the adjoining kitchen and substantial dining table provide a sociable setting for catered meals. Contemporary Alpine materials are combined with more decorative touches, giving the chalet an individual style that feels both comfortable and refined. A separate TV area provides additional space for quieter evenings.
Five bedrooms accommodate up to fourteen guests across the upper floors. The two bedrooms on the second floor include a master double/twin with private balcony and en-suite bathroom, together with another double/twin bedroom with private balcony and separate bathroom. On the first floor are two double bedrooms sharing a balcony and shower room, plus a large family bedroom sleeping up to six guests. This room combines a double bunk bed with four single bunk beds, making Chalet Vanoise particularly well suited to families travelling with children.
Guests can relax after skiing in the private outdoor hot tub while taking in the surrounding Alpine scenery. A heated ski room with good storage and boot warmers ensures equipment is ready for the following morning, while covered parking adds further convenience. The chalet also benefits from a scheduled in-resort driver service, operating six days a week, making journeys to and from the lifts simple during the main morning and afternoon periods. Exact shuttle timings are confirmed for each stay.
Chalet Vanoise lies next to Chalet Sarire, making the two properties an excellent combination for larger groups or extended families who wish to stay close together while retaining the privacy of separate catered chalets. Its location in Le Fornet provides easy access to some of Val d’Isère’s most reliable snow and excellent skiing. Val d'Isère’s charming village is a colorful winter sports haven, originally founded as a farming community centuries ago. Today, the village is home to around 1,800 residents, but during winter, this number swells to more than 30,000, thanks to the influx of skiers and visitors. The western and central parts of the village are easily recognizable for their classic chalet-style architecture, while the eastern part features modern high-rise buildings.
Historically significant, Val d'Isère received parish rights in 1637, and the parish church, built in 1664, remains a landmark at the heart of the village. Together with the nearby resort of Tignes, Val d'Isère is part of the Espace Killy, an area famously dubbed the "Most Beautiful Ski Area in the World". The resort is set at the base of a V-shaped valley and is accessible via La Daille, where you’ll pass by the Lac du Chevril.
