With only 4 minutes walking distance to the piste, Marmotte Penthouse in Verbier is a typical Swiss Alps holiday home in an ideal location. Just a few more minutes' walk and you are at Place Centrale with shops, bars and restaurants. A cosy ambience for 10 people has been created using lots of wood and stone, combined with modern elements. 5 bedrooms, one of which has bunk beds, and an open-plan living room are spread over 3 floors with a total of generous 310sqm of living space. The well-being factor is ensured by a wellness area.

Upon entering the first floor of the Alpine chalet, you will find a spacious open-plan living area with fireplace, surrounded by shelves with a selection of books, a kitchen equipped with high-quality appliances where you can cook together and a large dining table. The whole interior creates a welcoming atmosphere with comfortable sofas in muted colours placed around the fireplace. Marvel at the breathtaking mountain scenery of Verbier through large floor-to-ceiling windows. During the day, they flood the entire living area with plenty of natural light and comes evening, a sea of lights from the illuminated chalets in the surrounding area stretches out in front of you.

The sofas and comfortable armchairs - next to the warming fireplace - invite to chill out and chat after a day on the Verbier slopes. A large wooden table seats 10 people, ideal for enjoying home-cooked meals with family or friends, accompanied by a good wine. The kitchen bar is a great place to take a pre-dinner aperitif, watch others cook or have your first morning coffee while planning your day in the mountains. From the living area you have access to a balcony, equipped with heating, furniture with sheepskins, perfect to relax, catch the sun or enjoy an al fresco meal, it also offers an impressive view of Verbier. On the same floor is a guest toilet and a double bedroom with en-suite bathroom, separate hammam shower, desk and access to the balcony.

The second floor is home of a further double bedroom with en-suite shower room and access to the shared balcony, a quadruple bedroom which can sleep four children or two adults, with a desk and access to the rear balcony. There is also a shared bathroom, a twin room with en-suite shower room and access to the shared balcony. All bedrooms in the Marmotte Penthouse are elegant and cosy. Upstairs is a well-equipped twin room for children, a cosy TV room for evening entertainment and a small office for those who want to do business while on ski holiday.

Relax after skiing in the private wellness area with sauna and hammam. There is plenty of space for your ski equipment in your own ski room with boot heating. The wellness area and ski room are private and located two floors below the holiday apartment.

RESTAURANTS & BARS IN VERBIER

When it comes to dining Verbier offers a multitude of opportunities - from family places where you can eat pizza and pasta to gourmet Michelin-starred restaurants. Visitors shouldn't miss to make a reservation at Chez Dany, one of the few typical Alpine restaurants on the ski slopes in Verbier with probably the most beautiful sun terrace with a great view. At 1,722m altitude the perfect place for a lunch break or to end a day of skiing with local food and delicious Valais wines. A must-do of course is La Rouge with its two sun-drenched outdoor terraces. At an altitude of 1,550m directly between the two main lift stations, Médran and Savoleyres - at the foot of the Le Rouge run - this infamous venue has ski in/ski out links to the main ski domain plus 360 degree panoramic views from Col des Mines, to the Combins, the Dents du midi, the glacier du Trient and Pierre Avoi. An absolute hot spot for après-ski! We also recommend to book a table at La Table d’Adrien restaurant where chef Sebastiano Lombardi - in winter and summer - presents a gastronomic offer inspired by the mountain environment and the proximity of lakes and rivers between Valais, Italy and France. At La Cordée restaurant, chef Romain Maillot - with his origins from the island of La Réunion - creates dishes that are often surprising, always elegant and drenched in excellence - an exciting fusion of influences from cuisines around the world. Also worth visiting are W Kitchen and, unique in Verbier, Eat-Hola Tapas Bar in the village centre on Rue de Médran.

SKIING IN VERBIER

At an altitude of 1,500m holidaymakers are able to see the eternal snows of the Combins and even the Mont Blanc Massif in France. The popular luxury ski resort Verbier - situated in the middle of one of Europe's largest skiing areas, "Les 4 Vallées" (connecting Verbier, Nendaz, Veysonnaz, Thyon und La Tzoumaz) - offers the opportunity to explore 412km of daily groomed downhill runs for enthusiasts of all levels.

The glacier runs stay open during summer too. Verbier's main lift station is Médran in the centre of the ski resort. To get up to 2,200m to Les Ruinettes a 6-person telecabine is available. There is also a 30-person telecabine that brings you up to Attelas at an altitude of 2,723m.
