Description

Nestled on the Plateau de la Croix at 1,450m altitude and only a short distance (1,150m) from the charming hamlet of Saint-Nicolas de Véroce, luxury chalet Aster & Spa lies within the Saint-Gervais Mont-Blanc skiing domain, benefitting of easy access to the vast Évasion Mont-Blanc winter sports area with 445km of pistes to explore. With the Chattrix ski slope - running down to the 6-seater Chattrix chairlift - right by the front door, holiday ski chalet Aster is the perfect choice for ski enthusiasts of all levels. In addition to Chalet Aster‘s excellent ski in/ski out location the closeness to Megève, one of the most sophisticated winter vacation resorts in the French Alps, is an added bonus.

Of all the villages across the XXL Évasion Mont-Blanc area - covering four stations and six ski resorts - Saint-Gervais-les-Bains is the closest to the Alps' highest mountain. Developed into a holiday destination for summer and winter in the 19th century, St Gervais has retained this historic charm of a Belle Époque spa resort while transforming itself into a modern ski town. Alongside tradition, St Gervais therefore has all the ingredients for a comfortable ski holiday to offer its winter sports guests and - furthermore - is the perfect base to make maximum use of the Mont Blanc extended ski pass which makes it all the more easy to swing back and forth between the different skiing domains' and resorts.

With a footprint of 321sqm and set across four floors, chalet Aster comes with six en-suite bedrooms and can accommodate up to 14 guests. Most of the bedrooms have private balconies from where to enjoy tranquility and a 360-degree panoramic view of the Mont-Blanc massif and the surrounding landscape of Alpine heritage.

Designed in a contemporary style and fitted with modern furniture creating an ideal harmony with the wooden ceilings and walls, the spacious living room and adjacent dining room on the ground floor boasts plenty of space for families or a group of friends. A play with contrasts, the charming design is a well done mixture of different materials from wood to silk, slate to woolens, parquet floors to satin and gold threads. This is the place to relax on cosy couches in front of the crackling open fireplace.

Also on the mountain chalets ground floor, a doorway via the lounge leads to the fully equipped open plan kitchen with a breakfast bar. Holidayers in luxury winter chalet Aster have the opportunity to hire a private chef and, cocktail in hand, watch a delicious meal being prepared. This space opens onto a large terrace. During summer months dinners can be served on the wooden deck in front of the prestigious ski hut Chalet Aster. The terrace is also suitable for inviting friends over for a barbecue party.

Five of the bedrooms in Chalet Aster can be found on the first floor. With two of them, holidaymakers can choose between double or twin rooms, while the remaining three bedrooms are fixed doubles. Each room comes with en-suite bathroom or walk-in showers, balcony and TV. Lastly, there is a lovely sixth bedroom on the second, the top floor, of Chalet Aster. This room is ideal for children as it has four single beds and a private walk-in shower. Am additional baby bed is also available. All of the bedrooms have been designed to reflect the Alpine style.

Undoubtedly, the icing on the cake in skiing chalet Aster is the private wellness area. Located in the chalets basement the spa has an indoor Jacuzzi, sauna, relaxation area and a gym. The fitness room is equipped with the newest technology including a treadmill, exercise bike and elliptical trainer.

Additional amenities include a wine cellar, ski room, laundry room and garage parking for two cars.

Complementing the quiet and intimate atmosphere of Saint-Nicolas-de-Véroce and next door to each other, the luxurious vacation chalet Aster can be rented together with Chalet Carline and Chalet Silène to easily accommodate  up to 36 guests - a great option for larger groups, extended families or corporate events.

Luxury Alpine chalet Aster is offered on a self-catered basis with hotel services. Guests staying in luxury Alpine chalet Aster have free access to the Spa - with indoor/outdoor swimming pool, sauna, hammam, indoor Jacuzzi, two outdoor hot tubs, massages & beauty treatments - the gym, kids club, two restaurants and bar of the nearby luxurious 5- star l’hôtel Armancette.

Infos/Activities

More than a ski resort, Saint-Gervais-les-Bains in France, embodies the art of Alpine living. Finest Holidays has a selection of luxury ski chalets to rent in Saint-Gervais-les-Bains - available are luxury catered chalets and self-catered chalets.

The territory to explore is vast. Also known as Saint-Gervais Mont-Blanc the holiday ski resort is the heart of four villages: Le Fayet at 590m altitude, Saint Gervais at 850m, Saint-Nicolas de Véroce at 1,150m and Le Bettex, which lies at an altitude of 1,400m above sea level. The difference in altitude in the district of Saint Gervais, from 590m (Le Fayet) to 4,807m (summit of Mont-Blanc) is unique among the communities within France.

The quaint 19th century spa town of St Gervais is linked by gondola to the 110-lift skiing terrain of its better known neighbour Megève, sharing 325km of pistes. In addition, when changing mountainsides, St Gervais is directly connected to the ski area of Les Houches in the Vallée de Chamonix via the legendary Tramway du Mont-Blanc (TMB). France's highest cog railway - located on the historical mountaineering route to the summit of Mont-Blanc - takes holidaymakers up to the Nid d'Aigle (Eagle's Nest) at 2,372m.

All of the four villages benefit of access to two ski areas: the huge ski area of Évasion Mont-Blanc, the third largest skiing area in France with around 445km of slopes and a variety of ski touring routes, snowshoeing paths and cross-country ski trails. The second is the Les Houches/Saint-Gervais skiing terrain, accessible via the Bellevue cable car or the Prarion cable car from the village of Les Houches or the TMB from Saint-Gervais, offering 55km of pistes. Highly popular due to its well-oriented ski area and extremely good quality snow, the pleasant slopes of Les Houches-Saint Gervais are appreciated by skiers of every level of skill - the area is a true paradise for family skiing surrounded by nature.
