Description

The luxury Chalet Quezac in Tignes-Les Brévières has everything from a superb hot tub and bar terrace to a secret playroom packed with toys. This wonderful chalet is brilliantly situated to make the most of this exciting and sophisticated resort. Chalet Quezac is ultra-lux and unique. Designed by Guerlain Chicherit, a great rally driver and a four-time World Freeride Ski Champion, the luxury chalet is furnished with unique pieces. This is a big space, with 600sqm for its 16 guests to enjoy, including seven imaginatively themed suites that match the luxury and opulence of the play spaces.

An Ibiza-like vibe informs the décor of this space, that accents wonderfully finished traditional materials with sleek design and big, statement art pieces. One can enjoy Chalet Quezac as a welcoming family or group space, but only after taking at least a moment to appreciate its wow factor. After a day on the slopes you will steer straight to the big hot tub on the terrace, while cocktails are mixed at the fully equipped bar, and something sizzles on the barbecue. There’s also a pizza oven, which children will love, and they have much to enjoy inside Chalet Quezac too.

The hidden playroom is a magical place, a tiny, secret door makes getting at the table tennis and pool tables an adventure in its own right. Parents might enjoy some more sophisticated dining - courtesy of your personal chefs - and can do so at a 16-seat dining table that is one of the centrepieces of the dining space where you can also dine casually at a breakfast bar by the state-of-the-art equipment. Before and after dinner, the enormous living space on the same floor will surely be the focus of your stay. You could curl up by the fire or push yourself on the exercise machines or stretch out on a sofa with some of the best views in the world (and a giant projector screen). There’s another bar with pool/snooker and ping pong keep the fun flowing all night.

Once you do head up to bed, you will sleep both soundly and in sumptuous elegance. Quezac’s suites, all en-suite with both baths and showers, are themed and named: Lagoon is the master suite, with pop-up 3-D TV, and fridge, its en-suite facilities include a glass bath, and you can step directly onto the terrace and into the hot tub. Volcano has a twin/double bed, 3-D TV, fridge and its own office. Lilac, Pistachio, and Raspbery, and Bellagio are similarly equipped, with the addition of a monsoon showers in the bathrooms. Finally, a children's bedroom can sleep four youngsters in two sets of bunkbeds. Each bedroom is en-suite and has TV.

Infos/Activities

The towering peaks around Tignes help create wonderful winter sports conditions and a long snow-sure season that even includes some summer skiing. Finest Holidays can put you at the foot of these pistes in superb quality luxury ski chalets. Dive into Tignes for a catered or self-catered luxury ski holiday with our portfolio of the best properties in this superb French Alps ski resort.

Tignes has a pretty sister resort in world-famous Val d'Isère. Val has more heritage, while Tignes has been purpose built to make the most of the Savoyard Alps in the Vanoise National Park. Known until recently as Espace Killy in honor of the area’s most famous ski champion Jean-Claude Killy, the slopes around Tignes are still world-class, with Olympic downhill courses among the 300km of runs.

You don’t need to be a daredevil to enjoy a holiday in Tignes though, there’s a great variety of skiing to be found in the 3,656m up to the Motte Glacier, with around 20% of Tignes own slopes graded as suitable for beginners, 30% perfect for intermediates, and around half of them demanding, including some world famous powder skiing.

There are great free-style and boarding parks in the ski area. The town is a modern ski resort, really a collection of small communities rather than a single village, with Le Lac the highest at 2,100m, and Tignes Les Brévières – valued for its quietness and privacy – set at 1,500m. There are good local transport links, including 24h free buses between Val Claret, Le Lac, Lavachet and Les Brévières, and many Finest Holidays catered ski chalets come with chauffeur-driven transport. Val d'Isère, an historic mountain community, is also close at hand.

Tignes may not have the heritage buildings of Val, but it has everything that a luxury ski clientele might demand, and has been somewhat beautified in recent years. The ski resort has one of the world’s greatest ski areas and is a beautiful location all year round. Tignes offers a good nightlife and nice après-ski bars, some are ideally located close to the pistes.

The Michelin-starred La Table de l’Ours, and the two star L'Atelier d'Edmond are over in Val, but Tignes also has an awarded restaurant in the shape of Ursus, and lots of excellent quality dining. Le Panoramic enjoys a perfect perch at 3,032m and an equally high-level reputation.

The Couloir bar is lively, and Grizzly’s is cozy and sophisticated. A purpose built resort means lots of great settings for events, and Tignes has a fine selection of events throughout the ski season and well into the summer.
