Description

Anyone considering enjoying the world-class skiing and après of Val d'Isère should take a careful look at the luxury Chalet Inoko before finalizing their plans. This outstanding large-group luxury chalet with spa is the perfect mix of opulence, elegance, tradition, tech and cutting-edge design. This six-bedroom property can accommodate 12 guests, plus two youngsters in a dedicated children’s room. The setting is superb: a short drive to the facilities of the village but very private with a woodland setting and fantastic views into the Alps.

The architecture of this signature building matches the surroundings. It’s a classic Alpine building, and the local traditions of very visible stone and wood - and a priority on coziness and comfort - are reflected in the interior. However, The Japanese name is a signal that you can expect something different in striking, modern design throughout. The first floor is the entrance, with gear storage and heated boot warmers right at hand as you come in from the snow. Here you’ll find four bedrooms: a master twin/double, two twin/doubles, and a double room.

All have en-suite bathrooms and one of the twin/doubles has a private terrace. The rest of the bedrooms are on the ground floor, with a family suite of two twin/double rooms with en-suite shower rooms, and the children’s bunk room for two. The treatment and wellness area is also on this floor. A high-quality spa facility is a must have for many luxury chalet guests today, and Chalet Inoko more than delivers that. Your rest and relaxation plans can include swimming in an indoor pool, relaxing steam saunas, and working with visiting therapists in the comfortable massage room.

To make the most of the light, the living and dining area - open plan with double-height ceilings and enormous windows - are on the top floor. The décor is tasteful, elegant, and relatively minimal, with an open fire and huge dining table (seating 14), and sofas the focal points of a space that is meant to be shared and enjoyed. You’ll dine on food from a kitchen equipped to the highest professional standards. Those superb windows flood the room with light and will also tempt you to step out onto the south-facing terrace to enjoy more of this incredible landscape.

You can watch the snow fall or the stars sparkle in perfect comfort from a balcony hot tub, or gather round a fire pit as the sun goes down over the trees around you. Throughout Chalet Inoko you will find the latest in entertainment technology: cable TV and Apple TV, a chalet-wide integrated sound system, DVD players, and WiFi.

Chalet Inoko is a place for people to get together. Whether as a family, a group of friends, or a working party it delivers superb luxury facilities in one of the best locations in one of France’s most famous Alpine resorts at the heart of the enormous Espace Killy ski area.

LUXURY SKI HOLIDAYS IN VAL D'ISÈRE

Val d'Isère’s charming village is a colorful winter sports haven, originally founded as a farming community centuries ago. Today, the village is home to around 1,800 residents, but during winter, this number swells to more than 30,000, thanks to the influx of skiers and visitors. The western and central parts of the village are easily recognizable for their classic chalet-style architecture, while the eastern part features modern high-rise buildings.

Historically significant, Val d'Isère received parish rights in 1637, and the parish church, built in 1664, remains a landmark at the heart of the village. Together with the nearby resort of Tignes, Val d'Isère is part of the Espace Killy, an area famously dubbed the "Most Beautiful Ski Area in the World". The resort is set at the base of a V-shaped valley and is accessible via La Daille, where you’ll pass by the Lac du Chevril. Beneath the lake lies the old town of Tignes, which was submerged in 1952 to create the new dam.

One of the highlights of a Val d'Isère ski holiday is the après-ski experience, particularly at Folie Douce. Located at the top of the ski slopes, it’s renowned for its vibrant après-ski parties. A ski down from the venue, directly into the village, is an exciting way to end your day, although it’s only suitable for strong intermediates and above due to its steepness.

SKIING IN VAL D'ISÈRE

Val d'Isère is a paradise for skiers of all levels, offering a mix of groomed slopes and backcountry skiing. The resort is known for its challenging slopes, making it a favorite among experienced skiers and powder addicts. For those seeking adventure off-piste, Val d'Isère provides plenty of untouched powder and has a number of ski guides available to show you the best routes.

Val d'Isère is part of the Espace Killy ski area, which links Val d'Isère and Tignes, offering over 300km of ski slopes. The Pissaillas Glacier offers summer skiing, and the area is serviced by high-capacity gondolas, chairlifts, and even a funicular (the Funival), which takes you from La Daille to the top of Bellevarde.

Whether you’re looking for easy, wide pistes or steep, off-piste terrain, Val d'Isère caters to all types of skiers. The main lifts and gondolas offer convenient access to the area’s best slopes, and the ski area is equipped with four snow parks and extensive cross-country trails.

RESTAURANTS & BARS IN VAL D'ISÈRE

For a more casual dining experience, Le Chalet de la Daille is a popular spot for skiers to grab a hearty lunch or dinner, offering a fantastic view of the surrounding mountains. For après-ski, La Folie Douce is the place to be, combining high-energy music, drinks, and dancing for a memorable experience.

In the heart of the village, Café de la Place is a lively bar with great cocktails, perfect for unwinding after a day on the slopes. Whether you’re after a gourmet meal, a lively après-ski, or a cozy evening with friends, Val d'Isère’s restaurants and bars offer something for every mood.

THINGS TO DO IN VAL D'ISÈRE

While Val d'Isère is renowned for its world-class skiing, the resort offers much more for visitors to enjoy throughout the year. In winter, indulge in a wide variety of non-skiing activities such as snowshoeing, dog sledding, and ice skating. The resort is also known for its winter hiking trails, providing a perfect opportunity to explore the beautiful mountain scenery at a slower pace.

Val d'Isère is a prime destination for those seeking wellness and relaxation after a day on the slopes. The resort has several spas and wellness centers, offering everything from massages to thermal baths, providing the ultimate way to unwind and recharge.

For families, Val d'Isère has a variety of family-friendly activities, including children's ski schools, tobogganing areas, and indoor play zones. In summer, the resort transforms into an outdoor playground, offering a range of activities such as mountain biking, hiking, and rock climbing.
