Description

Anyone considering enjoying the world-class skiing and après of Val d'Isère should take a careful look at the luxury Chalet Inoko before finalizing their plans. This outstanding large-group luxury chalet with spa is the perfect mix of opulence, elegance, tradition, tech and cutting-edge design. This six-bedroom property can accommodate 12 guests, plus two youngsters in a dedicated children’s room. The setting is superb: a short drive to the facilities of the village but very private with a woodland setting and fantastic views into the Alps.

The architecture of this signature building matches the surroundings. It’s a classic Alpine building, and the local traditions of very visible stone and wood - and a priority on coziness and comfort - are reflected in the interior. However, The Japanese name is a signal that you can expect something different in striking, modern design throughout. The first floor is the entrance, with gear storage and heated boot warmers right at hand as you come in from the snow. Here you’ll find four bedrooms: a master twin/double, two twin/doubles, and a double room.

All have en-suite bathrooms and one of the twin/doubles has a private terrace. The rest of the bedrooms are on the ground floor, with a family suite of two twin/double rooms with en-suite shower rooms, and the children’s bunk room for two. The treatment and wellness area is also on this floor. A high-quality spa facility is a must have for many luxury chalet guests today, and Chalet Inoko more than delivers that. Your rest and relaxation plans can include swimming in an indoor pool, relaxing steam saunas, and working with visiting therapists in the comfortable massage room.

To make the most of the light, the living and dining area - open plan with double-height ceilings and enormous windows - are on the top floor. The décor is tasteful, elegant, and relatively minimal, with an open fire and huge dining table (seating 14), and sofas the focal points of a space that is meant to be shared and enjoyed. You’ll dine on food from a kitchen equipped to the highest professional standards. Those superb windows flood the room with light and will also tempt you to step out onto the south-facing terrace to enjoy more of this incredible landscape.

You can watch the snow fall or the stars sparkle in perfect comfort from a balcony hot tub, or gather round a fire pit as the sun goes down over the trees around you. Throughout Chalet Inoko you will find the latest in entertainment technology: cable TV and Apple TV, a chalet-wide integrated sound system, DVD players, and WiFi.

Chalet Inoko is a place for people to get together. Whether as a family, a group of friends, or a working party it delivers superb luxury facilities in one of the best locations in one of France’s most famous Alpine resorts at the heart of the enormous Espace Killy ski area.

Infos/Activities

Our luxury ski chalets in Val d'Isère are available catered and self-catered, for the best luxury ski holidays ever. Some are Ski in/Ski out and many have swimming pools, sauna, hammam and hot tubs. Val d'Isère is located only five kilometres from Italy, on the border of the Vanoise National Park, created in 1963.

LUXURY SKI HOLIDAYS IN VAL D'ISERE

The ski resort Val d'Isère in the Savoie region of France, is a colourful winter sports haven that began as a farm community in the years B.C. The town received parish rights in 1637 and the parish church, which is still a landmark in the town centre, was built in 1664.

The charming village finds its 1,800 residents outnumbered 15 to one by guests in winter. The western and central areas of Val d'Isère are most recognizable by their "chalet" architecture, while in the eastern part of the town high-rise architecture dominates the landscape.

Along with nearby purpose-built Tignes the area forms part of the Espace Killy, the self-titled "Most Beautiful Ski Area in the World". Named for Olympic hero Jean-Claude Killy, who grew up in Val d'Isère, Val is the better-known part of the skiing region and one of the best ski destinations in the French Alps.

The Val d'Isère village is long and thin at the bottom of a deep V-shaped valley. As you approach the resort you pass by Lac du Chevril, under which the old town of Tignes (sunk in 1952) is found. You then enter Val d'Isère via La Daille where the Olympic downhill run finishes. This is a very popular way for skiers to leave the mountain on Val d'Isère holidays, as it is directly below the greatest après ski party in France at Folie Douce. The ski down at closing time is riotous but only recommended for strong intermediates and above. The Pissaillas Glacier offers summer skiing, as well as the usual winter fare.

SKIING IN VAL D'ISERE

The ski slopes themselves are equipped with a high-volume gondola, able to transport standing skiers, the funicular Funival from La Daille via a tunnel to the top of Bellevarde, traditional chair lifts - some with windshields and many detachable, button/disc-pulls - and tow-ropes. There are both groomed slopes and backcountry (off-piste) skiing. The slopes' difficulty levels are particularly high. However, as in Tignes there are grand, easy  pistes as well. It is first class off-piste country for powder addicts and there are many good guides available.
