Description

The luxury Chalet Aubois in Morzine is situated at the beginning of the Vallée de la Manche. On three levels you will find everything you can expect from a luxury holiday home. There is a home cinema, an outdoor entertainment deck and a Jacuzzi. On the first level is the cinema room. With a library of DVDs and console games, this is the perfect place to relax after a long day on the slopes, or a perfect place for children to entertain themselves.

The second floor is a large open plan living and dining area from which you can enjoy spectacular views of the valley through wrap-around windows and French doors. Two sitting areas offer plenty of space for everyone to relax and enjoy the open fire or watch something on the large television. With a SONOS© sound system and an open kitchen in the dining room, the chalet is perfect for entertainment.

The iPad provided is preset with playlists and the SONOS and Spotify apps so you can select music or surf the internet. There are also GoPros that can be taken up the mountain. The kitchen is perfectly equipped with a large pantry, wine refrigerators and two ovens, so whether you are self-catering or hire a cook to prepare your meals, everything is taken care of.

Chalet Aubois offers a unique view of the slopes of Pleney and Nyon and is nestled on the slope overlooking the Morzine valley. When you move outside from the living room, a large and beautifully landscaped terrace and garden allow guests to continue their outdoor entertainment and take full advantage of the sunny location. A barbecue, an outdoor dining table, sun loungers and a large Jacuzzi make this the ultimate place from which to watch the weekly fireworks.

In summer, Chalet Aubois stands out from the other holiday homes with its terrace and garden, allowing guests to enjoy the fresh Alpine air in their own secluded garden. On the top floor of the chalet there are four more bedrooms. The master bedroom has a large balcony and French doors so that guests can enjoy a breathtaking view of the ski slopes and the Morzine village from their own bed. Two bedrooms, also overlooking the valley, share a very large bathroom. Both bedrooms have access to balconies and have excellent storage space. The third bedroom with en-suite bathroom overlooks the garden and the deck area below. All bedrooms can be configured as double or twin bedrooms. Another bedroom is on the second floor.

On the entrance level there is a large parking area for four cars, a secure garage, a ski room with heated boot and glove racks and a large laundry room with separate washing and drying machines.

Infos/Activities

Morzine is set high in the valley of the River Dranse at an altitude of 1,000m in the Northern Alps. A beautiful Alpine village, Morzine has a bustling centre and is packed with great facilities. With fabulous restaurants and bars, a weekly market, ice rink, swimming pool and ski joering - all perfect for keeping the whole family entertained.

The skiing resort Morzine can be found between Lake Leman and Mont Blanc. Part of the vast Les Portes du Soleil ski area pittoresque Morzine has kept its 11th century Savoyard look where you will find traditional wooden luxury ski chalets with slate roofs which makes you feel like you are in a real Alpine village rather than a large man-made ski resort. Previously ruled over by the Dukes of Savoie it is now part of the Haute Savoie region of France.

Most of the ski resorts in Les Portes du Soleil have grown around traditional valley villages - only Avoriaz and the very small Les Crosets and Torgon were purposely built during the mid-sixties. Morzine and Châtel are the largest of the traditional towns in the area. As a whole the skiing is relatively low in altitude compared to most French destinations.

The highest skiing is just below 2,500 metres and the lowest approximately 900 metres. However, the area is heavily influenced by the microclimate between Lake Geneva and Mont Blanc, which generates very substantial snowfall between November and April making it possible to keep the area open to skiing typically from early December until mid to late April. Some of the lower stations close around April 1 or earlier depending on snow conditions though.
