Chalet Eagle's Nest is an award winning, ultimate chalet for a luxury ski holiday with wonderful views, indoor swimming pool, outdoor hot tub, sauna and steam room. Staffed with private chef and hosts, service is personal and five star.
Eagle’s Nest is an icon of Alpine luxury. Eagle's Nest revolutionised the chalet skiing holiday when it offered the first indoor swimming pool in a private chalet in 2002. Others have attempted to imitate Eagle's Nest but constant improvements mean that it continues to set the standard by which other chalets are measured. As you arrive you are greeted by the bronze eagle, nearly 3 metres high and sculpted by Livio Benedetti who created the “Dame du Lac” you pass on the way to Val d’Isère. The chalet’s position, atop a rock with incredible views over Val d’Isère, and in the private estate, simply cannot be rivalled. The famous La Face piste is at the end of the road, making Eagle's Nest accessible on skis. Inside, beneath the surface of a beautiful, traditional alpine chalet is a super high tech property boasting a steam room, sauna, jetstream, Sonos integrated music system, flat screens and Playstation 3s in the bedrooms, and an outdoor hot tub.
Chalet Eagle's Nest is spread over four floors. At the top, the spacious living room is ideal for large groups and has vaulted ceilings, ample sofa space, a log fireplace and large sunny balconies. There is a separate mezzanine with flat screen and games consoles. Dining at the Eagle's Nest is unforgettable as fine wines, breathtaking views and a crackling log fire complement exquisite courses, beautifully prepared by your private chef. On the ground floor is a small double room and the master suite which has outstanding views on 2 sides, a dressing room and wonderful bathroom decorated with Italian tiles. Descend another level and there are four double bedrooms all of which qualify as suites, as well as a single bedroom. All are beautifully furnished and en suite.
On the bottom floor, the fabulous Wellness area has wonderful views and integrated music. You can swim against the jetstream in the swimming pool and the sauna and steam room are perfect for soothing aching legs after skiing. The lower floor of the chalet has a Wellness centre with 7x5m indoor swimming pool with jet stream, sauna and steam room. In addition to the indoor Wellness, there is an outdoor hot tub outside the sitting room - the perfect place to enjoy a glass of champagne while enjoying the views over the village. On the ground floor is an office which is equipped with a PC and fax. The boot room area has racks, glove lockers and ski boot warmers.

Our luxury ski chalets in Val d'Isère are available catered and self-catered, for the best luxury ski holidays ever. Some are Ski in/Ski out and many have swimming pools, sauna, hammam and hot tubs. Val d'Isère is located only five kilometres from Italy, on the border of the Vanoise National Park, created in 1963.
The ski resort Val d'Isère in the Savoie region of France, is a colourful wintersports haven that began as a farm community in the years B.C. The town received parish rights in 1637 and the parish church, which is still a landmark in the town centre, was built in 1664.
The charming village finds its 1,800 residents outnumbered 15 to one by guests in winter. The western and central areas of Val d'Isère are most recognizable by their "chalet" architecture, while in the eastern part of the town high-rise architecture dominates the landscape.
Along with nearby purpose-built Tignes the area forms part of the Espace Killy, the self-titled "Most Beautiful Ski Area in the World". Named for Olympic hero Jean-Claude Killy, who grew up in Val d'Isère, Val is the better-known part of the skiing region and one of the best ski destinations in the French Alps.
The Val d'Isère village is long and thin at the bottom of a deep V-shaped valley. As you approach the resort you pass by Lac du Chevril, under which the old town of Tignes (sunk in 1952) is found. You then enter Val d'Isère via La Daille where the Olympic downhill run finishes. This is a very popular way for skiers to leave the mountain on Val d'Isère holidays, as it is directly below the greatest après ski party in France at Folie Douce. The ski down at closing time is riotous but only recommended for strong intermediates and above. The Pissaillas Glacier offers summer skiing, as well as the usual winter fare.
The ski slopes themselves are equipped with a high-volume gondola, able to transport standing skiers, the funicular Funival from La Daille via a tunnel to the top of Bellevarde, traditional chair lifts - some with windshields and many detachable, button/disc-pulls - and tow-ropes. There are both groomed slopes and backcountry (off-piste) skiing. The slopes' difficulty levels are particularly high. However, as in Tignes there are grand, easy pistes as well. It is first class off-piste country for powder addicts and there are many good guides available.
