Chalet Dolce Vita is an outstanding 4-story luxury holiday chalet at the top of Cortina d’Ampezzo. Everything about this superb mountain chalet is perfectly suited to the good life Italian style: it is one of the most stylish chalets we’ve seen, finished to the highest-possible standards, boasting an enormous indoor swimming pool, and sitting perfectly in a beautiful Dolomite location. Set in an exclusive enclave of luxury properties, Chalet Dolce Vita has access to 7,000 square metres, including an artificial grass soccer field.
Outside is the super-chic Via Menardi area, one of the most sought-after locations anywhere in the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Dolomites. Located in the richest area in Cortina, the renowned Via Menardi, the chalets overlook the famous "Passeggiata", enjoying a spectacular view of the high peaks of Mount Cristallo, Faloria, Cinque Torri and Tofane.
Chalet Dolce Vita can welcome up to twelve guests in six bedrooms, including a charming children’s bunk room. These guests will enjoy four big, lift-linked floors of beautiful space, over 900 square metres, that should cover all your family’s needs. The Dolomites gave their name to a type of marble, and that beautiful stone is heavily featured in Chalet Dolce Vita. Big rugs on hard-wood floors and wonderfully designed Italian furniture help create an ambience that is chic and up-to-date while never sacrificing comfort or warmth. Checker board finishes and carefully chosen art pieces can be found through this beautiful luxury home, binding the design together.
The living room occupies a full floor. A well-stocked wet-bar awaits, while dinner is prepared in the brushed-steel, hi-tech paradise of the kitchen for service at a giant dining table. You can select your drinks from a walk-in wine cellar. There is a lot of tech behind the beautifully polished scenes in Chalet Dolce Vita. There is a cinema room, international TV channels and Netflix, a wired office, iPad, iPod docking, WiFi throughout, and a big networked sound system. The spa and wellness area beautifully mixes the hi-tech, a magnificent gym, sunlamps, waterfall Jacuzzi, with traditional Scandinavian sauna and the just jaw dropping the 20-meter indoor swimming pool.
Children have their own play area, including ball pool, to dive into. The suites are individually styled and true to Dolce Vita’s standards. The master bedroom has LED TV, 2 en-suite bathrooms and a walk-in closet. There are two en-suite double suites. The bunk room for youngsters comes with an en-suite bathroom. And two double rooms with a shared bathroom. For blue bloods and just plain rich Italians, Cortina has long been the resort of choice, so this is the place where you'll see furs and Ferraris, Rolexes and Maseratis. Even if the town is crowded, the slopes might be relatively empty, because nearly three-quarters of the winter guests come for clean air, sunshine, and shopping rather than skiing. In lively Cortina, dining, shopping, walking the poodle, or languishing over an espresso is as much a part of the scene as skiing and snowboarding.
Cortina d'Ampezzo is a wonderful resort in the heart of the Dolomites with the most dramatic scenery. There is a good quantity of well-maintained slopes; marvellous nursery slopes, good long runs for intermediates and access to the vast Dolomiti Superski area which offers 120km of pistes.
Since the 2019/20 ski season there's a new 10-seater - replacing a 50-year-old cable car to reach the Tofana-Socrepes area with 47km of pistes. The Faloria-Cristallo area with 44km of pistes can be reached by a two-stage cable car. You also have easy access by bus or car to the Cinque Torri-Lagazuoi - 17km distance to Cortina - with 29km of runs.
