LUXURY SKI HOLIDAYS IN COURCHEVEL 1850

Courchevel 1850 is the highest and most prestigious of the Courchevel resorts, located in the Tarentaise Valley in the Savoie region of the French Alps. As part of the world-famous Les Trois Vallées ski domain - the largest linked ski area on the planet - it offers direct access to 600km of pistes shared with Méribel, Val Thorens, and Saint Martin de Belleville. Known for its exclusive clientele, luxurious atmosphere, and impeccable service, Courchevel 1850 remains the top choice for high-end ski holidays.

The Courchevel valley includes four ski-in/ski-out villages named after their altitudes: Courchevel 1850, 1650 (Moriond), 1550 (Village), and 1300 (Le Praz). Courchevel 1850 is the most developed and glamorous, home to designer boutiques, luxury hotels, gourmet restaurants, and many of the finest ski chalets in the Alps. With a concentration of Michelin-starred dining unmatched anywhere else in the mountains, Courchevel also delivers an exceptional après-ski and culinary experience. Key areas such as La Croisette, Cospillot, and Nogentil are known for their prime locations and luxurious properties. The resort even has its own private airport, ensuring smooth arrivals for high-end travellers.

The wider 3 Vallées area offers more than 600km of interconnected pistes, with modern, high-speed lift systems linking the valleys. In Courchevel alone, there are 150km of pistes, served by 58 lifts, and a vertical drop of over 1,400 metres. Advanced skiers will enjoy challenging black runs, off-piste itineraries, and competition-level facilities - including the Slalom Park, open to the public since 2018. Courchevel is also home to seven ski and snowboard schools employing over 650 instructors, fluent in more than 25 languages. Whether you're looking for private lessons, group sessions, or kids’ clubs, ski schools cater to all ages and abilities. Restaurants & Bars in Courchevel 1850

Courchevel 1850 is famed not only for its world-class skiing but also for its exceptional culinary scene. Home to more Michelin stars than any other ski resort in the Alps, it offers an outstanding choice of fine dining experiences. At the pinnacle is Le 1947 at Cheval Blanc, the only restaurant in Courchevel with three Michelin stars, where chef Yannick Alléno crafts innovative haute cuisine in an intimate setting. Two Michelin stars have been awarded to Le Chabichou by Stéphane Buron and Sylvestre Wahid at Les Grandes Alpes, both offering refined Alpine-inspired tasting menus. For a one-star experience, Baumanière 1850 at Hôtel Strato and Le Sarkara, the unique dessert restaurant at Le K2 Palace, deliver exquisite culinary moments. L’Alpage at Hotel Annapurna also deserves mention for its imaginative “moonlight dining” concept.

On the slopes, restaurants such as Bagatelle, La Soucoupe, Le Chalet de Pierres and Cap Horn are among the most popular for elegant lunches and scenic terraces. La Table des Airelles, renowned for its lavish buffet curated by chef Adrien Trouillard, celebrates seasonal and organic produce in true gourmet fashion. When the sun sets, Courchevel’s après-ski comes to life. Many five-star hotels offer cosy lounge bars for a refined drink, while venues like La Mangeoire and La Ferme Saint-Amour deliver a livelier atmosphere with DJs and cocktails until late. Whether you're seeking mountain glamour or Savoyard charm, Courchevel 1850 serves up unforgettable dining and nightlife experiences.

THINGS TO DO IN COURCHEVEL 1850

Courchevel 1850 offers a wide variety of activities off the slopes - ideal for non-skiers, families with children, and mixed-ability groups. Fun attractions include the Family Park, The Fun Park, The Western Skipark, and The Stop Zone, where guests can learn about speed and braking distances. Snake Park, Avalanch’Camp, Wood Park, and BMW XDrive add more excitement to the on-mountain experience.

For a unique thrill, Courchevel also opened the Slalom Park in 2018 - a permanent competition-level stadium accessible to the public. Away from the pistes, visitors can enjoy ice skating, snowmobiling, spa treatments, or high-end shopping. With something for everyone, Courchevel 1850 blends world-class skiing with five-star leisure, making it one of the most complete winter destinations in the Alps.
