Tucked away on 1,172 in the giant Portes du Soleil skiing domain - one of the largest in the Alps with over 280 slopes to discover - Les Gets is ideally positioned on a mountain-pass overlooking the Mont Blanc massif. The Alpine ski resort enjoys massive snow cover and an extraordinary amount of sunshine summer and winter. Elegant and lively - sharing 120 kilometres local ski area with Morzine - Les Gets is a lovely mixture of old Savoyard chalets and more modern wood-and-stone buildings. With its pedestrian-friendly centre Les Gets is highly popular with families.
The Les Gets-Morzine ski area (71 slopes and 47 lifts) is ideal situated on both sides of the resort. The two slopes of Chavannes (for access to Morzine) and Mont-Chéry, offer skiers, beginners as well as experienced, a wide and diversified technical palette to enjoy throughout the day between fir trees and mountain pastures.
The mountain resort comes with nursery slopes based directly in the village as well as up the mountain at Chavannes, various ski schools, a road train shuttle connecting the main slopes and Mont-Chéry ski area, Grand Cry fun park, a cinema, the Musique Méchanique Museum not forgetting special play areas for children and a snow front in the heart of the resort, from which you can set off on skis.
