Chalet Blanc / Morzine
Description
Self-Catered Chalet
The luxury holiday Chalet Blanc is a short drive from Morzine as you head towards Montriond. It is perfectly located for accessing the free bus which can take you to Ardent lift in one direction or in to Morzine centre in the other direction. For those who enjoy walking in to town, the chalet is about a ten to fifteen minute leisurely walk along a flat pavement from the central suspension bridge and centre of Morzine.
The chalet is set in a new, small development of chalets which take advantage of the quiet, wooded setting overlooking the Parc des Dérêches. Chalet Blanc’s location also means that it benefits from being on the sunny side of the valley and is in sunshine throughout the day. Chalet Blanc is situated opposite one of our other properties, Chalet Lorne. For larger groups and groups of families and friends holidaying together, these chalets would offer the perfect option for taking two adjacent properties accommodating up to twenty two guests.
Luxury chalet Blanc has an impeccable finish and stunning interiors. Wrap around decks ensure that there is plenty of outdoor space for you to enjoy the views overlooking Point de Nyon, Pleney, Mont Chery and the Parc des Dérêches. The chalet is set over three spacious floors and has a fantastic deck with two dining areas, making the most of the morning and evening sunshine. The entrance level is an open plan living, dining area focused around a central log burning fire. Perfect for winter evenings after a day on the slopes. The living room has two seating areas; a large seating area facing the fire and a cosy snug area with a TV.
This level is bathed in sunshine throughout that day and takes advantage of this with wrap round windows that open on to views of the surrounding mountains and forest below. Outside, there is a dining table and parasol, which are positioned to enjoy the morning sunshine, and there is a further dining table which has the perfect position for evening sunsets and alfresco dinners.
The upper level has three spacious bedrooms all with en-suites. Two bedrooms can be configured as either a twin room or super king room whilst the third has a permanent king sized bed. Each bedroom has a large en-suite shower room and one of the bedrooms also has a bath. On the lower level of the chalet there are two bedrooms, a cinema room and a laundry room.
With twinkling ceiling lights and UK Sky TV, the cinema room is perfect for relaxing and watching a movie after a day in the mountains. The bedrooms downstairs can all be set up as twin or super king and each have their own shower room en-suite. The laundry room is a welcome, practical space for families and has a washing machine and dryer available for guests to use.
A large garage offers adequate parking for self driving guests and the bus stop is just a few minutes walk from the chalet itself. The bus is free and runs in both summer and winter making this chalet a great self catered option. If you prefer, our resort driver service is available to add on to your winter holiday meaning that you can be collected and dropped off whenever you choose.

Infos/Activities
Morzine is set high in the valley of the River Dranse at an altitude of 1,000m in the Northern Alps. A beautiful Alpine village, Morzine has a bustling centre and is packed with great facilities. With fabulous restaurants and bars, a weekly market, ice rink, swimming pool and ski joering - all perfect for keeping the whole family entertained.
The skiing resort Morzine can be found between Lake Leman and Mont Blanc. Part of the vast Les Portes du Soleil ski area pittoresque Morzine has kept its 11th century Savoyard look where you will find traditional wooden luxury ski chalets with slate roofs which makes you feel like you are in a real Alpine village rather than a large man-made ski resort. Previously ruled over by the Dukes of Savoie it is now part of the Haute Savoie region of France.

Most of the ski resorts in Les Portes du Soleil have grown around traditional valley villages - only Avoriaz and the very small Les Crosets and Torgon were purposely built during the mid-sixties. Morzine and Châtel are the largest of the traditional towns in the area. As a whole the skiing is relatively low in altitude compared to most French destinations.
The highest skiing is just below 2,500 metres and the lowest approximately 900 metres. However, the area is heavily influenced by the microclimate between Lake Geneva and Mont Blanc, which generates very substantial snowfall between November and April making it possible to keep the area open to skiing typically from early December until mid to late April. Some of the lower stations close around April 1 or earlier depending on snow conditions though.
