Description

Chalet Genevieve is a new luxury chalet in Morzine, spanning a generous 310 sqm and sleeping up to 19 guests across six well-appointed bedrooms. This spacious family chalet combines traditional alpine character with contemporary comfort to create a warm and welcoming retreat. Set on the sunny side of the valley, it offers sweeping views towards the Pleney slopes and sits just a ten-minute walk, or a short drive, from the Super Morzine gondola — an ideal base for a memorable ski holiday in the French Alps and effortless exploration of the Portes du Soleil.

The principal living area unfolds beneath a double-height vaulted ceiling where exposed beams and a large stone fireplace establish a hushed, convivial atmosphere. Tall windows frame valley vistas and flood the room with light, while a vintage French dining table seats twelve for long, lingering meals – preferably accompanied by a glass of champagne. A chic drinks cabinet and bar sit adjacent to a fully equipped kitchen designed for ease and entertaining. Doors lead to a sheltered balcony with an outdoor five-seater hot tub, the perfect place to unwind after skiing as dusk gently settles over the mountains, wrapping the chalet in a quietly magical atmosphere.

Chalet Genevieve is arranged for flexibility and family life. Five double/twin bedrooms provide elegant en-suites and three open to balconies or terraces; a generous master suite offers calm and generous fittings. The quad bunk room sleeps four in extra-large single bunks and includes a cosy TV snug. For extra capacity there is a double sofa bed in the bunk room, a child-sized floor bed convertible in one of the bedrooms, and the TV-lounge sofa converts to a double with privacy curtains - thoughtful options that allow the chalet to comfortably host differing group arrangements.

Wellness and relaxed leisure are at the heart of the experience. After a day on the slopes, the outdoor hot tub soothes tired limbs beneath open skies, while the TV lounge – fitted with Smart TVs, Netflix, Disney+ and Prime, a BOSE soundbar, board games and toys to entertain all ages – provides an inviting space for relaxed family film nights. Underfloor heating throughout, fast WiFi, a stocked bar cabinet and a dedicated laundry room add to the effortless comfort. Practical touches include stairgates for young families, a heated ski boot rack and secure ski storage in the garage, ensuring every detail feels perfectly considered.

With two private parking spaces and easy access to both the Super Morzine and Pleney lifts, Chalet Genevieve blends location, flexibility and refined comfort. Guests can also enjoy impressive views over the winter landscapes of Pleney and Pointe de Nyon. As a stylish self-catered alpine holiday home, it offers everything a modern family needs - space to gather, places to retreat, and simple, elegant comforts that make a ski holiday in the French Alps feel both luxurious and utterly relaxed.

Infos/Activities

Morzine is set high in the valley of the River Dranse at an altitude of 1,000m in the Northern Alps. A beautiful Alpine village, Morzine has a bustling centre and is packed with great facilities. With fabulous restaurants and bars, a weekly market, ice rink, swimming pool and ski joering - all perfect for keeping the whole family entertained.

The skiing resort Morzine can be found between Lake Leman and Mont Blanc. Part of the vast Les Portes du Soleil ski area pittoresque Morzine has kept its 11th century Savoyard look where you will find traditional wooden luxury ski chalets with slate roofs which makes you feel like you are in a real Alpine village rather than a large man-made ski resort. Previously ruled over by the Dukes of Savoie it is now part of the Haute Savoie region of France.

Most of the ski resorts in Les Portes du Soleil have grown around traditional valley villages - only Avoriaz and the very small Les Crosets and Torgon were purposely built during the mid-sixties. Morzine and Châtel are the largest of the traditional towns in the area. As a whole the skiing is relatively low in altitude compared to most French destinations.

The highest skiing is just below 2,500 metres and the lowest approximately 900 metres. However, the area is heavily influenced by the microclimate between Lake Geneva and Mont Blanc, which generates very substantial snowfall between November and April making it possible to keep the area open to skiing typically from early December until mid to late April. Some of the lower stations close around April 1 or earlier depending on snow conditions though.
