Description
Self-Catered Chalet
The luxury holiday home Chalet Lorne in Morzine is a new chalet with five bedrooms. It can be booked self-catered and has an outdoor Jacuzzi overlooking the Parc des Dérêches. There is also a cinema room for evening entertainment. Chalet Lorne is perfect for families and friends looking for a relaxing luxury holiday. The chalet extends over three spacious floors and has an outdoor terrace with breathtaking views over the valley to the slopes of the Pleney and to the top of the Roc d'Enfer and the beautiful Alpine village of La Côte-d’Arbroz.
The entrance level opens up to a beautiful open plan living and dining area. There are two seating areas where guests can enjoy an evening by the fireplace or relax in front of the television. The dining room and kitchen are on this level, so guests can enjoy the view through floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the forest. A fantastic terrace leads out of the living room, which is bathed in sunshine all day long. Perfect for dining outdoors in summer or enjoying a glass of champagne in the Jacuzzi in the snow in winter!
The upper level leads to three spacious bedrooms, all with ensuite bathrooms. Two bedrooms can be configured as either twin or super king rooms, while the third has a fixed king size bed. The King Bedroom, like one of the other bedrooms, has a shower en-suite, while the Master Bedroom has both a bath and a shower en-suite. On the lower level of the chalet there are two bedrooms, a cinema room and a laundry room. With its sparkling ceiling lights and UK Sky TV, the cinema room is perfect for relaxing and watching a film after a day in the mountains.
The sofa here is convertible and offers flexible sleeping arrangements for guests and can be converted to a double bed if required. The bedrooms on the ground floor can all be furnished as twin or Super King bedrooms and each has its own en suite shower room. The laundry room is a welcome and practical place for families and has a washing machine and dryer available for guests to use.
A large garage provides ample parking for guests who drive themselves and the bus stop is just a few minutes walk from the chalet. The bus is free and runs both in summer and winter, making this chalet a great option for self-catering. If you prefer, our Resort Driver Service is available to extend your winter holiday so that you can be picked up and dropped off at any time.
Chalet Lorne is located a few minutes drive from Morzine as you head towards Montriond. It is perfectly located for accessing the free bus which can take you to Ardent lift in one direction or in to Morzine centre in the other direction. For those who enjoy walking in to town, the chalet is about a ten to fifteen minute leisurely walk along a flat pavement from the central suspension bridge and centre of Morzine.
The chalet is set in a new, small development of chalets which take advantage of the quiet, wooded setting overlooking the Parc Des Dereches. Chalet Lorne's location also means that it benefits from being on the sunny side of the valley and is in sunshine throughout the day.

Infos/Activities
Morzine is set high in the valley of the River Dranse at an altitude of 1,000m in the Northern Alps. A beautiful Alpine village, Morzine has a bustling centre and is packed with great facilities. With fabulous restaurants and bars, a weekly market, ice rink, swimming pool and ski joering - all perfect for keeping the whole family entertained.
The skiing resort Morzine can be found between Lake Leman and Mont Blanc. Part of the vast Les Portes du Soleil ski area pittoresque Morzine has kept its 11th century Savoyard look where you will find traditional wooden luxury ski chalets with slate roofs which makes you feel like you are in a real Alpine village rather than a large man-made ski resort. Previously ruled over by the Dukes of Savoie it is now part of the Haute Savoie region of France.

Most of the ski resorts in Les Portes du Soleil have grown around traditional valley villages - only Avoriaz and the very small Les Crosets and Torgon were purposely built during the mid-sixties. Morzine and Châtel are the largest of the traditional towns in the area. As a whole the skiing is relatively low in altitude compared to most French destinations.
The highest skiing is just below 2,500 metres and the lowest approximately 900 metres. However, the area is heavily influenced by the microclimate between Lake Geneva and Mont Blanc, which generates very substantial snowfall between November and April making it possible to keep the area open to skiing typically from early December until mid to late April. Some of the lower stations close around April 1 or earlier depending on snow conditions though.
