The open-plan living/dining room is a thoughtfully designed space that combines modern elements with the comforting warmth of alpine aesthetics. The intricate design incorporates a play of luminous white hues contrasted with sophisticated dark accents, creating a visually appealing and contemporary atmosphere.

The rich oak floors and wood panelling add a touch of natural cosiness, infusing the space with the unmistakable spirit of the alpine environment. This blend of modern contributes to a balanced and inviting ambiance, making holiday chalet Kitsune a cozy and stylish retreat. The chalet's abundant windows and French doors enhance the stylish interior but also flood the space with natural light. This outdoor space enhances the overall experience of living in such a scenic location in the French Alps. The marble-panelled, wood-burning fireplace in the living room provides a touch of elegance with a warm and welcoming ambiance and its crackling fire. A focal point, enticing anyone to unwind on the comfy sofa and armchairs and gather around and share stories, laughter, and moments of sheer joy.

The seamless flow from the dining area to the kitchen creates an open and inclusive environment, fostering a sense of togetherness during cooking meals and eating. The marble worktops contribute a practical surface for culinary activities. This design choice, combined with the large dining table capable of seating up to ten people, sets the stage for memorable time.

Four well-designed bedrooms on the top floor, each with a unique bathroom, offer a high level of comfort and individualized experience for the guests. An additional bedroom on the ground floor suggests flexibility in accommodation options. This attention to detail in the bedroom design contributes to an overall sense of luxury.

LUXURY SKI HOLIDAYS IN VAL D'ISÈRE

Val d'Isère’s charming village is a colorful winter sports haven, originally founded as a farming community centuries ago. Today, the village is home to around 1,800 residents, but during winter, this number swells to more than 30,000, thanks to the influx of skiers and visitors. The western and central parts of the village are easily recognizable for their classic chalet-style architecture, while the eastern part features modern high-rise buildings.

Historically significant, Val d'Isère received parish rights in 1637, and the parish church, built in 1664, remains a landmark at the heart of the village. Together with the nearby resort of Tignes, Val d'Isère is part of the Espace Killy, an area famously dubbed the "Most Beautiful Ski Area in the World". The resort is set at the base of a V-shaped valley and is accessible via La Daille, where you’ll pass by the Lac du Chevril. Beneath the lake lies the old town of Tignes, which was submerged in 1952 to create the new dam.

One of the highlights of a Val d'Isère ski holiday is the après-ski experience, particularly at Folie Douce. Located at the top of the ski slopes, it’s renowned for its vibrant après-ski parties. A ski down from the venue, directly into the village, is an exciting way to end your day, although it’s only suitable for strong intermediates and above due to its steepness.

SKIING IN VAL D'ISÈRE

Val d'Isère is a paradise for skiers of all levels, offering a mix of groomed slopes and backcountry skiing. The resort is known for its challenging slopes, making it a favorite among experienced skiers and powder addicts. For those seeking adventure off-piste, Val d'Isère provides plenty of untouched powder and has a number of ski guides available to show you the best routes.

Val d'Isère is part of the Espace Killy ski area, which links Val d'Isère and Tignes, offering over 300km of ski slopes. The Pissaillas Glacier offers summer skiing, and the area is serviced by high-capacity gondolas, chairlifts, and even a funicular (the Funival), which takes you from La Daille to the top of Bellevarde.

Whether you’re looking for easy, wide pistes or steep, off-piste terrain, Val d'Isère caters to all types of skiers. The main lifts and gondolas offer convenient access to the area’s best slopes, and the ski area is equipped with four snow parks and extensive cross-country trails.

In winter, indulge in a wide variety of non-skiing activities such as snowshoeing, dog sledding, and ice skating. The resort is also known for its winter hiking trails, providing a perfect opportunity to explore the beautiful mountain scenery at a slower pace.

Val d'Isère is a prime destination for those seeking wellness and relaxation after a day on the slopes. The resort has several spas and wellness centers, offering everything from massages to thermal baths, providing the ultimate way to unwind and recharge.

For families, Val d'Isère has a variety of family-friendly activities, including children's ski schools, tobogganing areas, and indoor play zones.
