Description

Megève is a very special Alpine resort, and in Chalet L’Impasse it has a luxury chalet worthy of its charms. Beneath a beautifully traditional exterior lies an extraordinary set of rooms with superb entertainment facilities – including a pool, bar, and cinema – in a tranquil setting that makes the most of this timeless landscape. The luxury chalet L’Impasse is perfect for families, friends, or corporate groups, welcoming up to 12 adults and up to 3 children, in their own dedicated accommodation, one of seven bedrooms.

From the moment of arrival it is apparent that L’Impasse is a very special place. Space is always at a premium in a steeply sloped Alpine setting, but this building revels in its own grounds in the peaceful surroundings of La Ree on the outskirts of Mont d’Arbois. L’Impasse could be in a different world though, and the design of this chalet makes the most of the surroundings, with lots of balconies and terraces and huge windows that enhance the views and really encourage guests to spend time outside in winter and summer; as the sun rises or as the stars come out.

Traditional design is complemented by a tasteful yet sophisticated interior that’s really on trend, while also being completely welcoming and a pleasure to spend time in. Throughout the chalet a beautifully selected palette of muted shades combines with extraordinary facilities, traditional materials and beautiful furniture to deliver comfort and relaxation in every room. The luxurious Chalet L’Impasse is an imposing building, with its seven bedrooms over five stories allowing plenty of room for parties of up to 15 to spread out and enjoy themselves. On the ground floor, a garage can accommodate up to seven vehicles. This is not space lost to the guests though, with the level also having an emphasis on play with its table football, bar, wine cellar, and danceable social space. Upstairs are the majority of the bedrooms. All individually styled, but with the same warm, relaxing design template. The master suite has an en-suite bathroom with bath, shower, and WC room. The bedroom has its own terrace and a large TV with DVD player. Three more double rooms with en-suite shower rooms (one with balcony) and a cute children’s bunk room (en-suite shower room) complete the floor.

The second floor is a palace of relaxation. A children’s play room is also a sophisticated cinema room, with a big screen. It’s the indoor pool that really grabs the attention though, with its terrace, and huge windows that allow you to enjoy perfect views of Mont d’Arbois while you swim – or from the Jacuzzi if you prefer. The living room on the third floor makes it a celebration of light. With its traditional wooden beams and pillars and double-height ceilings, this is an imposing space. A TV, private office, and a big fireplace ensure there’s plenty of opportunity for intimate, cozy encounters as well as sharing time as a family or friendship group. Big, soft sofas invite you to settle in and chill out while you can dine inside or out- on a really big mountain-view terrace. A double en-suite bedroom with balcony completes this floor, while above is the second master suite, enjoying its own floor and the pick of the views from its balcony. There is WiFi throughout Chalet L’Impasse and Apple TV on its screens.

Infos/Activities

The Megève mountain resort is situated at 1,115m above sea level. The charming Alpine town is part of the Évasion Mont Blanc region with stunning luxury chalets for rent, catered and self-catered. Many have a swimming pool, hot tub, sauna and gym, for the very best luxury ski holidays.

With its traditional rustic atmosphere and authentic medieval architecture, it seems that Megève has always existed up there, just like the fascinating mountain scenery of smooth pastures, mystery-green forests and stunning heights all around. Megève is like a fairytale picture of old times. Narrow streets and old buildings form its enchanting medieval centre; the pedestrian zone with the horse-drawn sleighs and carriages passing only add a magical touch, almost imaginable serenity of a trip into history.

But still, the town offers infinite range of entertainment, so tourists can enjoy after returning from back-in-time. Megève at night is an experience you should not miss. 9 discos and plenty of clubs and bars create the special lively atmosphere of the nocturne town. There is a casino for those who feel "lucky tonight" and a prefect selection of various restaurants for those who prefer nice food and fine wines! In fact, Megève is known as one of the most valuable gastronomic stops of the Alps and a famous French culinary spot. During the day you could enjoy the majestic mountain landscapes from the terrace of a café, or take a traditional lunch in a cosy bistro in the medieval heart of the town.
