LUXURY SKI HOLIDAYS IN VERBIER
The famous alpine resort of Verbier is a year-round destination offering a wealth of activities for families, couples, and groups. One of Switzerland’s most prestigious mountain resorts, Verbier is renowned for its world-class skiing, luxury chalets, and vibrant après-ski scene. Located in the canton of Valais in southwestern Switzerland, Verbier forms part of the expansive 4 Vallées ski area, linking with Nendaz, Veysonnaz, La Tzoumaz, and Thyon. Set at 1,500 metres altitude, the resort offers panoramic views of the Mont Blanc and Grand Combin massifs.
In winter, visitors enjoy dog sledding, paragliding, and ice skating on the open-air rink, while Verbier’s public wellness centres and spas provide the perfect place to relax after skiing. Our handpicked portfolio includes luxury ski chalets and apartments in Verbier, including prime residences in the Place Blanche development — ideal for those wanting to be near the resort’s top restaurants, designer boutiques, and nightlife.
During summer, Verbier transforms into a playground for outdoor enthusiasts. Mountain biking, hiking, rock climbing, golf, and tennis make it a popular choice for a summer holiday in the Swiss Alps. The resort also hosts world-class cultural events such as the Verbier Festival, an internationally acclaimed classical music celebration held every July at altitude. Whether you seek adventure, culture, or relaxation, luxury holidays in Verbier offer something for every traveller.
SKIING IN VERBIER
Located at 1,500 metres altitude, Verbier enjoys spectacular views across the Mont Blanc Massif and the snow-capped peaks of the Grand Combin range. The resort lies at the heart of Les 4 Vallées, one of Europe’s largest linked ski areas, with over 412 km of groomed pistes connecting Verbier with La Tzoumaz, Nendaz, Veysonnaz, and Thyon. This world-class domain caters to all levels — from gentle nursery slopes at Les Esserts for beginners, to exhilarating descents on Mont Fort (3,330m) for advanced skiers. Verbier is a true freeride mecca, attracting expert skiers with steep couloirs, challenging off-piste terrain, and marked itineraries like Tortin and Mt Gelé.
The main lift station at Médran whisks skiers to Les Ruinettes (2,200m) via a 6-seater gondola, with further connections to Attelas at 2,723m and beyond. Glacier skiing is possible in summer, and heli-skiing offers unforgettable drops at Trient, Petit Combin, Pigne d’Arolla, and Rosablanche. For low-visibility days, the tree-lined slopes of Bruson provide reliable snow and fewer crowds. Verbier’s dynamic ski scene also hosts major events such as the Xtreme Verbier, the finale of the Freeride World Tour, and the famous Patrouille des Glaciers ski touring race from Zermatt.
RESTAURANTS & BARS IN VERBIER
When it comes to dining Verbier offers a multitude of opportunities - from family places where you can eat pizza and pasta to gourmet Michelin-starred restaurants. Visitors shouldn't miss to make a reservation at Chez Dany, one of the few typical Alpine restaurants on the ski slopes in Verbier with probably the most beautiful sun terrace with a great view. At 1,722m altitude the perfect place for a lunch break or to end a day of skiing with local food and delicious Valais wines. A must-do of course is La Rouge with its two sun-drenched outdoor terraces. At an altitude of 1,550m directly between the two main lift stations, Médran and Savoleyres - at the foot of the Le Rouge run - this infamous venue has ski in/ski out links to the main ski domain plus 360-degree panoramic views from Col des Mines, to the Combins, the Dents du midi, the glacier du Trient and Pierre Avoi.
An absolute hot spot for après-ski! We also recommend booking a table at La Table d’Adrien restaurant - in winter and summer - presents a gastronomic offer inspired by the mountain environment and the proximity of lakes and rivers between Valais, Italy and France. At La Cordée restaurant, guests can enjoy refined, globally inspired cuisine — dishes that are both elegant and inventive, blending flavours from around the world. Also worth visiting are W Kitchen and, unique in Verbier, Eat-Hola Tapas Bar in the village centre on Rue de Médran.
THINGS TO DO IN VERBIER
Verbier offers much more than just skiing, making it an exciting destination year-round. Winter activities include snowshoeing, tobogganing, paragliding, and dog sled rides — perfect for families and adventure seekers alike. Ice climbing on frozen waterfalls provides a unique challenge for thrill-seekers, while cultural experiences such as cheese-making workshops and local farm visits offer a taste of Swiss traditions.
The vibrant event calendar keeps the resort lively with celebrations like New Year’s Eve, the Polaris electronic music festival, and the annual Verbier Art Summit. One of the winter season’s biggest highlights is the Xtreme Verbier, the Freeride World Tour finale on the legendary Bec des Rosses. In summer, the world-renowned Verbier Festival brings classical music performances into spectacular alpine settings, attracting visitors from all over the globe.
