Crans-Montana has well groomed pistes, good off-piste and a wide range of other snowsports including cross-country skiing, ski touring, snowshoeing, ice-skating and curling. Around 50 percent of winter guests come to Crans-Montana for reasons other than skiing and boarding. That’s because so many guests are property owners who come to enjoy the 65 kilometers of paths for walking (280 kilometers in summer), and to relax in the mountains amid stunning scenery.

Enjoy more than 190 shops and boutiques for retail therapy and choose from around 90 restaurants - including two Michelin-starred establishments - for dining out among friends. There’s also a casino and a cinema. The Crans-Montana ski area breaks down into four sectors – Crans, Montana, Violettes and Aminona, each adequately served by a gondola, supporting chairlifts and button lifts. The new quad-chairlift replacing the Cry-d’Er cable car is reputedly 20% faster and moves more people per hour to the top of Bellalui (2528m).

Crans-Montana has a large array of sunny mountain terraces - with restaurants ranging from hidden away mountain huts to self-service eateries. Some of them have limited seating indoors and are reliant on good weather to pack the sun terraces.
