Description

Self-Catered Duplex Penthouse

The Roof is a luxury mountain penthouse with 530sqm living area, spread over the 4th and 5th floor of the two parts of the "Chesa Rocca" building in St Moritz. The penthouse has amazing lake and mountain views. Designed with the use of extremely natural wood (an oak from the 1300s), iron, glass and nubuck leather. The Roof is a perfect example of modern Alpine style and is extremely flexible: thanks to the movable walls, the open space can be closed by creating three more bedrooms with their independent bathrooms. It can accommodate 8 guests in 4 bedrooms and offers 7 bathrooms.

Perfect for enjoying convivial moments with friends, the kitchen is equipped with a 40sqm counter that, when opened, becomes a kitchen, if closed, it turns into a large countertop. As for the exteriors, the penthouse offers two wonderful terraces: one of 220 square meters includes a six person Jacuzzi facing the lake, the second, of 80 square meters, overlooks the Corvatsch mountains.

Along the hallway there is another movable wall which can turn the small fitness area into another guest room. While moving towards the living space and dining area of the penthouse there are several bathrooms. There is one toilet with a sink and an additional bidet. There are two bathrooms consisting of a toilet with bidet while also allowing them to be showers. There is one more bathroom consisting of a toilet and simultaneously being a shower as well.

After passing the hallway one arrives at the living, dining and cooking area of the penthouse. This area consists of two spacious couches, a dining table, two fully equipped kitchens, one for staff the other for residents, a billiard area and entrances to both terraces of the penthouse (east and west). The penthouse also includes a spa area consisting of emotional showers, Turkish bath made of precious onyx, sauna and Himalayan salt walls to compensate for the lack of iodine in the mountains. There is also an additional Jacuzzi on the east-side terrace.

Through one of the two lifts into the apartment one can reach the wine cellar. The penthouse contains 3 fireplaces with two of them being fueled by bioethanol and one classic wood burning.

The master bedroom measures 140 square meters and includes a small living room, two bathrooms, two walk-in wardrobes and a studio - completed by a breathtaking view of the exclusive Swiss holiday resort St Moritz.

A total of 7 parking spaces belong to the "Chesa Rocca".

In addition a luxury apartment (175sqm) on the 3rd floor can be rented together with the penthouse. Together both can accommodate 10 guests. There are 3 bedrooms with 3 luxury private bathrooms with big shower or shower plus bathtub and a guest toilet next to the entrance. It offers a modern living area, fully equipped kitchen, 3 balconies, 2 small and a spacious terrace on top of the newer part of the property. Furthermore, the apartment has a fireplace located in the living room. Additionally next to the kitchen there are laundry appliances consisting of a washer and a dryer. The apartment is equipped with LED-strips both on the floor and ceilings.

Infos/Activities

St Moritz is one of the world’s most famous holiday resorts. Chic, elegant, exclusive - with a cosmopolitan ambiance - it is located at 1,856 metres above sea level in the middle of the Upper Engadin lake landscape. The dry, sparkling “champagne climate” is legendary and the celebrated St Moritz sun shines for an average of more than 300 days a year. Feel the sun on your face and the powder under your feet the whole day long! For the region can lay claim to 350 km (217 miles) of ski pistes. Thanks to its altitude of between 1,800 and 3,303 metres, snow is guaranteed. The picturesque village, with its remarkable character and exquisite clientele, is the most exclusive resort for luxury winter holidays.

St Moritz is all you expect and more! As an international symbol of quality, even whispering "St. Moritz" epitomizes style, elegance and class. Moreover, the highly modern ski lifts ensure a minimum of waiting time and a maximum of efficiency in a region that is renowned for its variety – after all, it was here that winter tourism was born almost 150 years ago. Carving paradises, freeride slopes, spacious nursery slopes and a glacier downhill run lure snow sport aficionados in every direction.

When it comes to snow, St Moritz and the Engadin terrain have it all. Corviglia, Corvatsch and Diavolezza are synonymous for awe-inspiring experiences on skis. You’ll find almost everything in Switzerland’s largest snowsport region, from extensive, well-known areas with a wide range of offers to smaller, family-friendly, village skilifts. Not forgetting the numerous panorama restaurants, ski huts and snowbars, all bursting with ambiance and promising lively après-ski fun.

Every winter the picture-perfect Alpine village St Moritz hosts the "White Turf" horse race on the frozen St Moritz Lake attended by the international Upper class.
