Holiday Chalet Gemini is one of four unique and stunning Zermatt mountain chalets - the others being Castor, Pollux and Ibron. Gemini is a luxurious free-standing three floor chalet with 5 double bedrooms, large enough for groups of up to 10 guests. Its location provides the best of both worlds: spectacular views and easy access. Tucked against a beautiful hillside, the numerous balconies and large terraces give you bird's eye views of the village and the surrounding mountains, encompassing all three of Zermatt's ski areas. Yet access is easy: 200 metre from the Matterhorn Express base lift station and resort run there is a street level tunnel which leads you to a lift (elevator) built inside the mountain, from the top of which there is a gentle 2 minute walk to the property.
Skis and boots can be left in the tunnel's ski room. Although it does not have a Matterhorn view, the chalet is bathed in sun as soon as it emerges. Newly built, the chalet has been tastefully decorated. Delicately combining an alpine, cosy and contemporary finish, with liberal use of wood and stone. It has all the latest technology with flat-screen TV's more than a hundred satellite channels, rotating fireplaces and geothermal heating to reduce the chalet's carbon foot-print as much as possible. The chalet has its own sauna and unique outdoor hot tub surrounded by snow - perfect to relax and enjoy the view (or the stars...) after a long day in the mountains. This is a rare gem; a large self standing chalet in Zermatt which has been conceived to meet our client's needs and wishes to the fullest possible extent.
The Chalet is accessed through a tunnel and an elevator. The entrance to the tunnel is 200 metre from the end of the ski runs beneath the Matterhorn Express lift station, just a 4 minute walk from the church square. This is an ideal location being close to the main lift station, the ski runs and the village centre. The tunnel and elevator bring you up high above the village providing a true sense of high mountain seclusion and tranquility with breathtaking views. From the elevator exit there is a 200 metre walk to the chalet entrance. The chalet comes with an electro transporter which our staff will use to move your luggage and shopping as required. Ski equipment is left in the ski room down in the tunnel.
The chalet is adjacent to our two other 5-star freestanding chalets, Chalet Castor and Chalet Pollux, which sleeps a further 16 people in total. These may be rented in conjunction with Chalet Gemini enabling a group of up to 26 guests to stay in the same location while benefiting from the space and privacy that only a sole-occupancy luxury chalet can provide.

SKIING IN ZERMATT
Linked to Cervinia, just over the border in Italy, Zermatt offers 360 kilometres of pistes. Despite 52 lifts, there is often a bit of a queue to get up the mountain in the morning.
