Ski in/Ski out luxury chalet La Bergerie is located on the site of an old "Bergerie" or shepherd's hut of Val d'Isère, dating back to the 17th century. This unique chalet has been renovated using many of the original features blending traditional wood and stone with modern facilities. Decorated with care, there is a prevailing sense of calm and tranquillity, helped by its location in a private enclave above Val d'Isère. La Bergerie boasts five en-suite King-size or Twin bedrooms, one of which has a small additional single interconnecting bedroom, ideal for a child or nanny and a seventh bedroom with its own private bathroom.
Every room has an individual sense of style and character which makes them all an equally attractive retreat after an active day. The vaulted ceiling of the open plan sitting/dining room gives a sense of space without losing the warmth of the room created by the open log fire, and complimented by the rich colours and textures of the carefully selected furnishings. La Bergerie sports additional features such as the luxury of a private massage room where the trained physiotherapists can work on those weary limbs, and the state of the art cinema room complete with a Nintendo wii.
Whether enjoying a breakfast of your choice or a Gourmet Five-course dinner, the floor to ceiling windows of La Bergerie offer a spectacular view down the Manchet Valley. The secluded hot tub and terrace are also an ideal place to watch the sun set over the Roche de Charvet whilst enjoying a well deserved glass of champagne.

LUXURY SKI HOLIDAYS IN VAL D'ISÈRE
Val d'Isère’s charming village is a colorful winter sports haven, originally founded as a farming community centuries ago. Today, the village is home to around 1,800 residents, but during winter, this number swells to more than 30,000, thanks to the influx of skiers and visitors. The western and central parts of the village are easily recognizable for their classic chalet-style architecture, while the eastern part features modern high-rise buildings.
Historically significant, Val d'Isère received parish rights in 1637, and the parish church, built in 1664, remains a landmark at the heart of the village. Together with the nearby resort of Tignes, Val d'Isère is part of the Espace Killy, an area famously dubbed the "Most Beautiful Ski Area in the World". The resort is set at the base of a V-shaped valley and is accessible via La Daille, where you’ll pass by the Lac du Chevril. Beneath the lake lies the old town of Tignes, which was submerged in 1952 to create the new dam.
One of the highlights of a Val d'Isère ski holiday is the après-ski experience, particularly at Folie Douce. Located at the top of the ski slopes, it’s renowned for its vibrant après-ski parties.
