Description

A stunningly beautiful chalet set in of the best locations in Val d'Isère. Exclusively designed and built for the ski seasons, Chalet Daria has to be one of the best mountain chalets in the ski resort. Seven bedrooms, an indoor pool, a hammam and a massage room combine with local stone walls, reclaimed wood beams and inspiring interiors to truly deliver a special property. The luxury holiday home doesn't compromise on location with a ski-in and out position and a luxury chauffeur service that is offered until 10pm. Combining one of the finest architects in France with one of the most beautiful and unique slope-side locations in Val d'Isère, it was always destined to deliver.

Enviably located in one of the sunniest spots in the valley, this huge 400sqm chalet sits on the convergence of three main runs, the blue Santons, the red M and the black Epaule du Charvet pistes. In the morning, simply slip on your skis and take the blue run to the main Solaise and Bellevarde telecabines or benefit from our luxury 4x4 Landrover driving service. Chalet Daria sits as the very last building before you enter the stunning Manchet valley, providing unobstructed south and west facing views across the Vanoise national park.

The chalet works well for large groups of friends looking for an impressive entertaining venue, and it works equally well for family groups wanting something special and unique. Because of its location there is plenty of space for children to play outside in the snow in safety. The chalet Daria is proudly set over five levels. The main entrance is on the west facing side of the chalet and leads straight into the cloakroom and ski room. All the bedrooms in the chalet are en-suite and feature reclaimed wood and natural Vanoise stone tiles.

On the ground floor there are two large bedrooms which can both be configured as twin or kings. Three more beautiful bedrooms can be found moving up to the next floor, one having a stunning south facing balcony. The main living floor is on the second floor and is truly spectacular, with towering double height windows bathing the living space in afternoon sun. The fireplace creates a focal point for the room and features a wide heated terrace delivering some of the most privileged views in the valley. Dining is a special event at this property, but in chalet Daria there is a band of windows above the dining table which means the mountains accompany diners from above.

The higher floor provides a large mezzanine area where you will find a place to relax and is perfect for children to play in the evening. Returning back to the lowest level you will find two further bedrooms, both of which can be configured as kings or twins. On this level, soothing spa facilities, a swimming pool with contraflow system, a moroccan hammam and a massage room for in-house treatments can be found. There is also a large covered parking area for up to three cars. The chalet is fully serviced. The professional chefs are some of the finest in the industry and have a background of super-yachts and michelin starred restaurants.

You also have two hosts who provide an exceptional concierge service to help you with the booking of ski tuition, guides, equipment or help with restaurant reservations. The chalet comes with access to our 4x4 Landrover driving service and chauffeur, who also doubles as our 'go to' person for snow and weather updates and lift openings.

LUXURY SKI HOLIDAYS IN VAL D'ISÈRE

Val d'Isère’s charming village is a colorful winter sports haven, originally founded as a farming community centuries ago. Today, the village is home to around 1,800 residents, but during winter, this number swells to more than 30,000, thanks to the influx of skiers and visitors. The western and central parts of the village are easily recognizable for their classic chalet-style architecture, while the eastern part features modern high-rise buildings.

Historically significant, Val d'Isère received parish rights in 1637, and the parish church, built in 1664, remains a landmark at the heart of the village. Together with the nearby resort of Tignes, Val d'Isère is part of the Espace Killy, an area famously dubbed the "Most Beautiful Ski Area in the World". The resort is set at the base of a V-shaped valley and is accessible via La Daille, where you’ll pass by the Lac du Chevril. Beneath the lake lies the old town of Tignes, which was submerged in 1952 to create the new dam.

One of the highlights of a Val d'Isère ski holiday is the après-ski experience, particularly at Folie Douce. Located at the top of the ski slopes, it’s renowned for its vibrant après-ski parties. A ski down from the venue, directly into the village, is an exciting way to end your day, although it’s only suitable for strong intermediates and above due to its steepness.

SKIING IN VAL D'ISÈRE

Val d'Isère is a paradise for skiers of all levels, offering a mix of groomed slopes and backcountry skiing. The resort is known for its challenging slopes, making it a favorite among experienced skiers and powder addicts. For those seeking adventure off-piste, Val d'Isère provides plenty of untouched powder and has a number of ski guides available to show you the best routes.

Val d'Isère is part of the Espace Killy ski area, which links Val d'Isère and Tignes, offering over 300km of ski slopes. The Pissaillas Glacier offers summer skiing, and the area is serviced by high-capacity gondolas, chairlifts, and even a funicular (the Funival), which takes you from La Daille to the top of Bellevarde.

Whether you’re looking for easy, wide pistes or steep, off-piste terrain, Val d'Isère caters to all types of skiers. The main lifts and gondolas offer convenient access to the area’s best slopes, and the ski area is equipped with four snow parks and extensive cross-country trails.

For a more casual dining experience, Le Chalet de la Daille is a popular spot for skiers to grab a hearty lunch or dinner, offering a fantastic view of the surrounding mountains. For après-ski, La Folie Douce is the place to be, combining high-energy music, drinks, and dancing for a memorable experience.

In the heart of the village, Café de la Place is a lively bar with great cocktails, perfect for unwinding after a day on the slopes. Whether you’re after a gourmet meal, a lively après-ski, or a cozy evening with friends, Val d'Isère’s restaurants and bars offer something for every mood.

While Val d'Isère is renowned for its world-class skiing, the resort offers much more for visitors to enjoy throughout the year. In winter, indulge in a wide variety of non-skiing activities such as snowshoeing, dog sledding, and ice skating. The resort is also known for its winter hiking trails, providing a perfect opportunity to explore the beautiful mountain scenery at a slower pace.

Val d'Isère is a prime destination for those seeking wellness and relaxation after a day on the slopes. The resort has several spas and wellness centers, offering everything from massages to thermal baths, providing the ultimate way to unwind and recharge.

For families, Val d'Isère has a variety of family-friendly activities, including children's ski schools, tobogganing areas, and indoor play zones.
