When Chalet Mathilda in Val d'Isère was completed in 2005, a new standard of luxury ski holidays was set. The vacation home offers wellness facilities including an indoor swimming pool and steam room were combined in a brand new, spacious and chic private chalet. It offers six bedrooms for twelve guests.

An authentic stone fireplace complements the spacious, open living and dining area. The bedrooms and the living area are adorned with numerous beams and panels made from old, recycled wood, making them unique. Step onto the large balcony, a perfect setting for pre-dinner drinks, and unwind as you bask in the breathtaking views after a thrilling day on the slopes.
The holiday home Chalet Mathilda features a beautiful wellness area on the ground floor, ideal for relaxing after a day on the slopes. Take a swim in the indoor pool with a jet stream or simply unwind in the hammam. There is also a double bedroom with a private bathroom on this floor. On the first floor, you'll find four bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, equipped with fine Italian tiles and gleaming white porcelain. The top floor houses another bedroom with an en-suite bathroom. Full of character and romance, it sits alone under the overhang and is the perfect spot to enjoy private moments.
Chalet Mathilda is just a short walk or drive from the center of Val d'Isère, yet it is situated in a private and peaceful estate. It offers everything one could wish for in a chalet for a ski vacation and is suitable for both adult groups and families.

LUXURY SKI HOLIDAYS IN VAL D'ISÈRE
Val d'Isère’s charming village is a colorful winter sports haven, originally founded as a farming community centuries ago. Today, the village is home to around 1,800 residents, but during winter, this number swells to more than 30,000, thanks to the influx of skiers and visitors. The western and central parts of the village are easily recognizable for their classic chalet-style architecture, while the eastern part features modern high-rise buildings.
Historically significant, Val d'Isère received parish rights in 1637, and the parish church, built in 1664, remains a landmark at the heart of the village. Together with the nearby resort of Tignes, Val d'Isère is part of the Espace Killy, an area famously dubbed the "Most Beautiful Ski Area in the World". The resort is set at the base of a V-shaped valley and is accessible via La Daille, where you’ll pass by the Lac du Chevril. Beneath the lake lies the old town of Tignes, which was submerged in 1952 to create the new dam.
